A Few Highlights from the Week
1ST CCS VETERANS DAY PROGRAM
On Wednesday, November 8, 2023, CCS hosted its first large-scale Veterans Day Program. An estimated 500 people were in attendance for the program and we could not be more proud of the presentations made by students through singing, reading, and musical instruments to honor our veterans.
We always want to remember the sacrifice our military men and women have made and continue to make to protect our rights and freedoms. We are so very thankful to them for their service and hope that they felt the love and appreciation we have for them at the program.
THANK YOU, VETERANS!
TOOLS OF THE TRADE CAREER TECHNICAL EVENT
On Wednesday, 8th grade students had the opportunity to attend the Tools of the Trade event at Wallace State. This technical career fair was organized and hosted by the Cullman Economic Development Office. This was a huge event that included 8th grade students from Cullman County, Winston County, Blount County, and other surrounding areas.
At the event, students learned about careers in many areas, including: utilities, transportation, marketing, radio, horticulture, welding, mechatronics, radiology, dental hygiene, insurance, sales, law enforcement, child care, culinary, cosmetology, nursing, and MUCH, MUCH MORE.

UPPER SCHOOL WALK-TO-LUNCH REWARD
Upper school students who met their first Feed the Need goal had the opportunity to get out of the building for lunch. Their restaurants of choice were Grumpy's and Chick-fil-A. Everyone did a fantastic job of showing great character and good behavior on this quick outing.
MULTIPLE BASKETBALL WINS
Varsity teams and youth teams tipped off their seasons this week and came home with multiple wins!
Congratulations to all the teams who won, but more importantly, thank you to all of the players, coaches, and cheerleaders who have worked to prepare and play their best. Although athletics are not the most important thing in life, they can certainly teach us how to work through hard times, enjoy victories, and keep an humble spirit when interacting with others.
Great job, all!
