Principal's Message
Dear Cavalier Families,
Our first week back was all about welcoming students back into the classrooms and re-establishing agreements, routines and norms. The start of the semester is a good time to revisit our goals. If one of your goals is to walk in the 8th grade promotion ceremony (for 7th graders this means next year), remember that there is a minimum 21 credit requirement. This means a great majority of your classes need to passed. If you didn't pass a class or two, there will be opportunities for credit recovery starting next month.
Speaking of the 8th grade ceremony, it has been determined that our promotion ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 5th at Hilltop High School at 3:00 pm. We usually have the ceremony at Chula Vista High School's stadium, however it will be under construction this year. The graduating class from Chula Vista High School will also have their ceremony at Hilltop High at 6:00 pm. Please mark your calendars.
This week's announcements:- The counselors will begin balancing classes this week so there will be some student schedule changes. We hope to keep them to the absolute minimum.
- There will be a School Site Council meeting on Tuesday at 3:20 online or in room 104 in the main office. Here is the agenda and meeting link.
The Black Student Union RISE Conference on January 28, 2025, will be held at Southwestern College from 9:00am - 2:00pm. Interested students will need to register and complete a field trip permission form. Please see Mr. Clark in the ASB. Click HERE to register.
Continuing announcements:
- All students and parents have the unique opportunity to receive individual and family therapy sessions at no cost through the Center of Mindful Relationships. If any student is interested in this, please fill out this form or scan the QR code on the flyer listed below.
- Parents can register their students for Club TC on the school website or through the QR code below. The Club TC office is in Room 215, close to the white G street gate. Those arriving early must enter through the gate. After school dismissal is also through the white G street gate. Once students exit the Auditorium gate at 3:10 pm they are not allowed to enter back for Club TC.
