Thank you for attending parent/teacher conferences this week. If you were not able to have your conference, please reach out to your child's teacher to schedule it as soon as possible.
Our next Coffee with the Principal and Family Friday is on Friday, December 6, 2024, 7:45-8:30. One of our teachers will be presenting information about Internet and Social Media safety during the parent meeting.
School will be closed for the entire week of November 25-29th for Thanksgiving Break.

Magnet News!
From Mrs. Esquivel
PTA Flyers went home this week! We are excited about growing our PTA! Joining the PTA as a member is different than holding a leadership position: you can be a member without even attending a single meeting or committing to any volunteer time. The class with the most memberships wins a pizza party! If you have multiple students, your membership counts for each class. 😊
Scholastic Book Fair coming the week of Jan. 13th! We definitely need help with setting up the fair, helping students to choose books, and helping run the register. Sign-up will be posted soon!
Many of you know that our school is unique because we have federal "magnet" grant monies that we use to implement our arts and culture theme. We are in Year 4 of this 5 year grant. This grant pays for many of our field trips and art supplies, as well as the professional artists who teach our students, and professional development for teachers. This week we have our grant evaluator onsite- she will be talking to select students about our arts and culture focus, to help us better serve the needs of our students. See Mrs. Esquivel at cesquivel1@sandi.net if you have questions about our arts-integrated curriculum!

Coach La Fosse will be leading a running club each Wednesday and Friday for Kindergarten-5th grade students. Students who wish to run laps, should report to the gate by the office at 7:30. Students will run 7:30-7:43 and then go to their classrooms. Students arriving after 7:35 will not be permitted to participate in running club that day.
