A Note from Mrs. Williams
I will be out after spring break for approximately six weeks as I recover from surgery. As of right now, I anticipate being out from April 7 through May 19. During my absence, Mr. Harper, a retired Central principal with extensive experience, will fill in to ensure a smooth transition and continued support for our students and staff. You may contact him by calling our office or through email at lharper@davisonschools.org. I appreciate your understanding and support and look forward to returning as soon as possible.
Kind regards,
Melissa Williams
Principal

Concert Cardinal Code
As we prepare for our upcoming concert, we thank you for your continued support and partnership. Our students have been working hard to perform their best, act professionally on stage, and follow our Cardinal Code as performers. We kindly ask for your cooperation in modeling this behavior by being respectful audience members and refraining from excessively loud conversations or disruptions during the performance. This helps create an environment where all students can shine, and everyone can fully enjoy the show. Thank you for helping us make this a positive and memorable experience for our students!
March is Reading Month Spirit Days
It's Book Fair Time
Our Spring book fair will be March 10th-14th. Your student can visit the book fair with their class during their regularly scheduled library class time. The fair will be open for students shopping until 8:45 am upon arrival with teacher permission. Only books will be available during student shopping.
The fair will be open to families to shop during parent-teacher conferences on Thursday evening, Monday, and Friday after dismissal (you cannot enter the book fair until 3:45 pm.) All items will be available. Trinkets and diaries will available during family shopping.
Family Shopping times:
Monday & Friday 3:45-4:15 PM
Thursday 4:30-7:00 PM
To set up an eWallet or to shop online visit:
Milk Money
We want to remind families that all student lunches are provided free of charge through the school meal program. However, if a student chooses to take milk only, without the rest of the meal, there is a charge for the milk. This cost will be added to the student’s meal account and could result in a negative balance if insufficient funds exist. To avoid any surprises, we encourage families to monitor their student’s meal accounts regularly and add funds as needed. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact our office.
Dressing warm for recess
Please have your children bring warm outdoor winter gear to school every day to make sure they stay warm while they are outside for recess. Please write your child's name inside their winter gear. This helps prevent items from getting lost at school. Students spend approximately 20 min outside each day.
If your child needs winter gear, please reach out to Mrs. Demo.
Visitors at Central
All visitors at Central will be asked to ring the doorbell at the front entrance. A member from the office will greet you through the microphone; please state your name, your child's name, and what brings you in that day. Parents, guardians, and other family members will be allowed into Davison Community School buildings to:
· Drop off/pick up student medications
· Attend IEPs/504s or Parent-Teacher Conferences
· Or as an Approved Volunteer
Student Sign In
If you are dropping your child off late, please walk your child to the main entrance, ring the bell, and wait for an office staff member to let you in to sign your student in for the day.
Student Sign Out
If you pick your child up early, ring the bell outside, and a staff member will greet you. Your student will then be called to the office, and you will sign them out. Please be sure to present your picture ID for identification.
Birthday Treats
Central students and staff LOVE to celebrate birthdays! Due to ongoing concerns regarding food allergies, medical conditions and dietary restrictions, Davison Community Schools no longer allows food treats, including cake and cupcakes, to be sent in.
Please talk with your child’s teacher about alternate ideas for celebrating your child’s birthday .
