NEWS & INFORMATION
11/01/2024
It’s been a fantastic week at Marshall, filled with learning, creativity, and Halloween spirit! Here’s a quick look at what we’ve been up to:
Halloween Parade: Our annual Halloween parade was a huge success! It was wonderful seeing so many of you join us to watch the parade. Our students and staff looked fantastic in their costumes, from superheroes to storybook characters, and everyone was excited to show off their Halloween spirit. It was a fun, joyful event, and we thank all the parents, families, and staff who helped make it a memorable one. Special thanks to the PTG for hosting our FIRST-EVER Coffee and Donuts under the Pavillion before the parade! It was a great opportunity for grown-ups to get to know each other and hang out!
STEM Excitement in Grades 3-5: Our third through fifth graders have been diving into STEM projects the last two weeks, and the enthusiasm has been off the charts! They’ve been exploring hands-on activities, and completing an outdoor geocaching project. It’s incredible to see their problem-solving skills in action and their excitement about learning something new. We’re thrilled to continue fostering a love for science, technology, engineering, and math, and we’re already planning more interactive experiences.
Thank you all for your ongoing support and involvement. Let’s keep this positive energy going as we move into November and continue making each week an enriching experience for our students!
PICK UP
To help ensure students arrive at their correct dismissal location, we kindly ask that you contact the main office by 2:30 PM if there are any changes to your child’s dismissal plan. While we understand that emergencies can happen, we’ve noticed a significant increase in last-minute changes around 3:00 PM, which can cause confusion and delays. By notifying us by 2:30 PM, we can make sure your child receives a dismissal note and reaches the right spot after school. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
A MESSAGE FROM THE COUNSELOR
Do you have a passion that brings a “Spark” to your life? Marshall Elementary will be hosting a Spark Day on Friday, December 13th. We are looking for presenters who are willing to share their spark through conversation and a hands-on activity. Students in grades 3-5 will attend three 30 minute sessions from 10:00 - 11:40. Kindergarten - 2nd grade students will attend 12:50 - 2:30. Presenters will be provided lunch. If you are interested in participating for all or part of the day, please email Teresa Peter at petert@talawanda.org.
