MUSTANG SPOTLIGHT - MRS. JEN ORLOSKY, SECRETARY TO THE PRINCIPAL AT SHS
Mrs. Jen Orlosky has worked in our District for 10 years at all grade levels. She has worked as a custodian, in our cafeterias, and is now the Secretary to the Principal at Strongsville High School. In addition, ‘Mrs. O’ stays involved with our high school students as the Senior Class Advisor, Varsity Football Cheerleading Advisor, and the Spirit Squad Co-Advisor. Having moved to Strongsville in 2011, with both of her children attending Strongsville City Schools, Mrs. O has an appreciation for our District and unique perspective as an employee, as well as a parent.
“One of the most important things we can do as SHS staff members is to show the students that we care about them. I appreciate the many opportunities to get to know our students better and having the chance to watch them grow throughout their years at SHS. It can be anything from hearing "Mrs. O, did you see that play I made in yesterday’s game?", to providing advice for a student, to eventually watching them walk across the stage at Commencement. As much as we want to make an impact on the lives of students, sometimes they can impact our lives even more,” said Mrs. Orlosky.
“My job is the absolute best because I am able to interact with both students and my co-workers. While our days are very busy, we try to make it as much fun as possible. If you come into the main office at any given time, you will see our smiles, hear our laughter, and see us working together for the families and students at SHS.”
Thank you Mrs. Orlosky for your positive attitude, your willingness to help our students, and for being part of a great team at Strongsville High School! #WeAreStrongsville
