A Note from the Principal
Dear Fairview Community,
We are thrilled to reflect on the success of Wish Week! Thank you to our Student Council and their leadership for making this week memorable. Our elected student leaders worked hard to provide Adair, our Fairview Make-A-Wish recipient, with a magical and special assembly event! Wow! Thank you also to our teachers, staff, and students who supported our Volleyball championship, Dress to Impress, Miracle Minute, the Art Competition, Travel/Geography Trivia, and our Soccer Championship. Special thanks to our Winter Guard, Band, and Choir, including Age of Guinevere and Excalibur. Our Knight Nation really appreciated your performances! Given Adair’s wish to meet Olivia Rodrigo in New York City, I’m confident she appreciated our Choir’s performance of “All I Want.” Thank you to Talise Chandler, Travis Keller, and TJ Strasser for the countless hours you devote to our students and community! We appreciate you!
In addition to our Wish Week events, our School Accountability Committee (SAC) met last night, where we discussed the pros and cons of each bell schedule. Your input was invaluable in helping us create the best possible school environment for our students. I also collected student input on our proposed bell schedules from Student Council, Adelante, Access to Action, and our student body during block lunches. Thank you to our students for your engagement this week! I value and appreciate your voice, leadership, and care!
We are so grateful for a week filled with giving, community spirit, and the chance to make a real difference. Our community cares. Wish Week 2025 will surely be a time we’ll always remember!
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to the next opportunities to come together as a community.
Warmly,
Dr. Scarlet Chopin
Principal, Fairview High School

Wish Week Recap
Today's Wish Week assembly was a huge success! Fairview's Make-A-Wish recipient, Adair, joined us with her parents and took part in the assembly's Knight contests. Our students enjoyed amazing performances from the band, choir, color guard, and poms! A special shout-out to Mr. Johnson, Mr. Hickman, and Mr. Szameitat for bravely shaving their heads after meeting their fundraising goal for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Thank you to Fairview's Student Council (STUCO) and the Colorado Make-A-Wish Foundation for making today so memorable!
There is still time to donate today and help grant more life-changing wishes for kids like Adair. Right now, over 400 children in Colorado are waiting for their wishes to be granted. Your donation can help bring joy and hope to these kids.Donate Here

Fairview Students Share Input on 2025-2026 Bell Schedule
Fairview students recently provided valuable input on our 2025-2026 Bell Schedule! At Fairview, we prioritize student voice and leadership in shaping our school’s future. Thank you, Knights, for your contributions in keeping our Castle excellent! 🏰
Fairview Students Recognized for Green Schools Leadership
Emma and Molly Weber from Boulder, Colorado, have been honored with the 2025 Best of Green Schools Award for their leadership in climate justice. Their efforts began as a local campaign and grew into a statewide movement, leading to the passage of a Green New Deal for Schools resolution in their district. Now, they are working with state legislators to advance policies on sustainable infrastructure, climate curriculum, and green job pathways in public schools. Congratulations to Emma and Molly for their incredible impact!
PIB Government Class Engages in Exciting Mock Supreme Court Simulation
In Jennifer Kraemer's PIB Government class, students participated in a dynamic Mock Supreme Court simulation where they had the opportunity to both argue cases and serve as justices. Each student took turns representing either the prosecution or defense, while also sitting on the Supreme Court to deliberate and make key decisions. This hands-on activity provided a fun and engaging way for students to experience the inner workings of the judicial system and deepen their understanding of constitutional law. It was an exciting and interactive learning experience for all!

Attendance Excusals & Automated Notifications
When excusing your student for a period or a full day, please know that we receive all voicemails and emails. Due to the high volume of requests, processing may take 24 to 48 hours, and you may continue to receive automated attendance notifications from BVSD until your request has been processed.
If you prefer to stop these notifications, you can adjust your settings in the IC portal under the Communications tab. However, please note that turning off these alerts may prevent you from receiving important updates, including emergency notifications.
Additionally, if your student has more than 10 absences, school policy requires documentation before we can excuse any further absences.
We kindly ask that you refrain from sending multiple messages, as all excusal requests are logged in our system. Thank you for your patience and cooperation!
For more details, visit the Attendance page.
