SFIAM Assistant Principal Introduction
Dear Parents,
I am delighted to introduce myself as the Assistant Principal at SFIAM. I am excited to work with you and support your child throughout their middle school journey.
To share a bit about my background, this is my 21st year as an educator with LAUSD. I spent 14 years as a middle school teacher, 4 years as a coordinator, 2 years as a high school assistant principal, and now, I am thrilled to be stepping into the role of middle school assistant principal.
My goal is to inspire our students to dream big and to provide them with the support they need to achieve those dreams. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or just to say hello.
Let's make this a great year together!
Best,
Terri Lee
Student Support
As we continue to support our students through their middle school journey, I want to remind you of the many resources available to both you and your child here at SFIAM. We have a dedicated team of staff members ready to help with any challenges that may arise—no problem is too small, so please don't wait until a concern grows larger.
Middle school is a significant adjustment for many students, and it's perfectly normal for them to need some extra support as they navigate new experiences. I encourage you to remind your child that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. If they ever feel unsure or overwhelmed, we are here to guide them. And if your child’s needs aren't fully met, or if there is a more serious issue, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly. You can call, email, or stop by the office anytime.
We have a wonderful team in place, including our school counselor, Ms. Ortiz; our school PSW, Ms. Garrett; our school climate advocate, Ms. Sanchez; our Assistant Principal, Ms. Lee; and myself, Mr. Smither, your principal. Additionally, our office staff, Ms. Karen and Ms. Yoli, along with all of our teachers and staff, are always here to help and support your family.
This is a time when students are striving for independence, but they still need our guidance in making good decisions. We are here to partner with you in ensuring your child’s success and well-being.
Please Drive Safely Around the School
