You can prepare your families for this change! The American Academy of Sleep Medicine advises trying to slowly adjust your schedule by going to bed around 15-20 minutes earlier leading up to the time change. (sleepfoundation.org) This will help the disruption of your circadian rhythms!

Next broadcast scheduled for March 14, which is a half day!

For students who have received the Sacrament of the Eucharist and would like to volunteer as an altar server, please come to St. John's Altar Server training on Saturday, March 15! You'll need to fill out a release form for your child to volunteer. Children 14 and over need Teen Leader Training. Please keep a look out for more details.

Follow these steps to help SJS earn a percentage of funds when you enroll in the Community Rewards Program!

1. Log in to https://www.kroger.com.

2. Go to https://www.kroger.com/account/communityrewards and type in our NPO number, DW375 to find St. John the Apostle Catholic School.

3. Click "Enroll" and you're done!

We will be highlighting students who play sports outside of SJS for the next few weeks. In next week's Soaring High Headlines, you get to see the lower school students share a bit more about their sports activities!

If you have a student who is participating in an outside sport, please contact Mrs. Ratcliff at aratcliff@stjs.org.

Brynlee (4th grade) competed in her 3rd TAAF Qualifier Gymnastics meet for this season this past weekend. She placed 3rd on Beam, and her team placed 2nd overall!

We're told that beam is her most challenging event, so to place so high shows a great amount of grit, determination, and perseverance! Way to go, Brynlee, and way to represent SJS on the mat!

The following dates and times will be held at St. John's in the Resource Room for the remainder of the year for Adult Initial Training. (This is a great way to go ahead and get your Safe Environment for volunteering at SJS campus, Fall Fest, etc.)

• Saturday, March 22: 9am to noon
• Saturday, May 31: 9am to noon

The following dates and times will be held at St. John's in the Resource Room for the remainder of the year for Adult Renewal Training. (This required every three years to ensure your Safe Environment training is up to date.)

• Thursday, April 3: 6:00pm - 7:30pm
• Thursday, June 5: 6:00pm - 7:30pm

To find a date at another location, go to virtusonline.org or call our Safe Environment coordinator, Jane Nhan, at the Parish Office.

The following day is held at St. John's in the Resource Room for volunteers age 14-17. Volunteers 18+ must attend the Initial Safe Environment class (see above).

Saturday, March 8: 10:00am - 11:00am
