A Word From Mrs. Loor
Dear Franklin Families,
What a fun week we had! Between all of our wonderful guest readers, the schoolwide read aloud and D.E.A.R. time, we sure got some extra reading in. Every year, the vocabulary parade gets better and more creative! We enjoyed all of the potato book characters that were sent in. They are on display in the library.
We've got a great week ahead as well. We will continue our holiday presentation series with Ramadan on Monday. We will also be having a special music assembly with Project Trio on Thursday. This assembly was funded through an SEF grant written by Ms. Mongioj, the 8th grade and SHS band director, in celebration of Music in Our Schools month.
Please note that we will have a general PTO meeting on Wednesday, March 12th at 8:30 AM in the cafeteria. We apologize for the short notice, but Superintendent Hough will be joining us to talk about the budget process.
Save the date for our first Specialist Showcase during the week of March 17th. Please see below for more information and how to sign up to participate. We hope you will be able to join us!
A reminder that tomorrow is a Single Session day with dismissal at 12:30pm. There will be no lunch or recess.
Have a fabulous week!
With Warmest Regards,
Mrs. Loor
Specialist Showcase
We will be having our first Specialist Showcase where parents/guardians are invited to participate in either P.E., art, music, STEAM or library depending on your child's grade level. It would help our teachers for their planning to get an estimate of how many adults will be joining each class. Please fill out the form below if you plan on participating.
Summit Educator Recruitment Expo
Franklin Musicians
March is the celebration of Music In Our Schools Month! Around the nation this month, educators, students, and communities will find ways to recognize the invaluable role of music education in fostering creativity, discipline, and cultural appreciation. Music In Our Schools Month showcases the power of music to inspire, educate, and unite.
Mrs. Silvester and Mrs. Lapinski have a shared philosophy of encouraging all students to develop a lifelong love of music. We hope our students become music makers and music consumers who share music with their families and communities in varied and authentic ways. Thank you for supporting music and the arts here at Franklin. We challenge you to find ways to be musical this month. Join us in celebrating the universal language that enriches lives and shapes futures!
Steam Lab
We are excited to announce an upcoming STEAM challenge, and we need your help! For the project, we’ll be using newspapers to build creative structures, and we’re asking for donations of any unwanted newspapers you may have.
Your contributions will help make this challenge a success! Thank you in advance for your support!
