A Message from the New Music Teacher!!

Daniel Wolfert is a Tacoma based musician and is excited to be taking up a position at Holy Rosary this fall! He is a 2016 graduate of the University of Puget Sound with a degree in Music Composition and has spent the past year as a private voice and piano teacher, freelance composer, and theatrical music director. When he's not teaching or composing, he can be found reading speculative fiction and attempting to cook. He can't wait to get to work with your kids!

Reminder about Tuition Payments!

REMINDER: The first tuition payment for the 17-18 school year is due by AUGUST 5th!! Don't forget. The office is open every day and we can take payments by the phone, if you are not signed up for FACTS.


A small number of families still have outstanding tuition/fees due from the 16-17 school year. The office will be contacting those families next week to confirm that those students have been removed from the roster for the 17-18 school year. We run a very tight budget and need to make sure everyone is fulfilling their tuition obligations in order to pay our teachers and other expenses.

Playground Update! Important!!

In the last few weeks, we have been working with the Pierce Conservation District on our Depave project to finalize the plans for August. Because of some legalities regarding the ability of Native American groups to provide feedback on our property, only a portion of the grants that we won have been released at this point. This means that we will start the Depave project in August (as planned), but that it will be divided into 2 phases. The first phase, Aug 8 and 9, will be to Depave a portion of the playground for gardening and all of the blacktop along the freeway wall. This will allow all of the trees to go in near the freeway wall, which is great news to reduce noise and air pollution, not to mention beautify our campus. We will have the school year to run our campaign for the new play structure and the play structure will be removed and the field put in next summer (2018). This may not seem like good news, but it will give us a chance to make sure we have the playground funded before we remove the old structure, so I think it all works out in the end. Sign Up Now to Volunteer for the Play Field Depave Project!

Hello, Families.

Have you signed up to help us DePave? Here is the link and information:


  • We will need 30 - 35 volunteers each day
  • Work days are Aug 8 and 9 from 9 am - 1 pm.
  • We MAY need Aug 10, but we will see how much we get done on the 8th and 9th.
  • Lunch will be provided at 1 pm for all volunteers.
  • Even if you can't volunteer for the whole 4 hours, we need you!!

Please sign up for each day you can volunteer. All volunteers will earn service hours for your family, so bring as many "able-bodied" people as you can. Remember, this is very physical labor!! No children and no one with back problems, please. :)

We are trying to purchase new playground equipment to replace our 30 year old Big Toy equipment. WE NEED YOUR HELP!
