News From The Principal
Happy Holidays Explorers,
We have made it to the final month of the year. Can you believe it is almost 2025? I would like to share my gratitude for you all! Having such amazing families truly makes a huge impact as we work to help all students reach their full potential.
As the holiday season approaches, it can be a magical time for many families. However, for some families, the holidays can bring some stress or anxiety. If your family has any needs, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our counselor, Mrs. Tang. Her phone number is 360.279.5270. We are here to help!

News from the Library
Happy December! Since December is a short month please continue to encourage your student to read each day. You may want to check out the Sno-Isle Public Library where students can get their very own library card and check out lots of cool books!
Check out the Sno-Isle Website to learn more about all the cool books and programs the public library has to offer!
Happy Reading!
Mrs. Ronning
Family Fitness Tip
Interested in getting out for some fresh air and exploration? We highly recommend you check out Dugualla State Park. The park features several miles of trails and also a bit of shoreline to explore. Simply head north on State Route 20 for approximately 7 miles and take a right on Sleeper Road.
Get outside for some family fun!
Our SOAR program begins in October. Each child in 1st - 4th grades at Broad View receives reading instruction at their level. Students who receive LAP or Title reading support, resource reading support, and those on or above grade level are all engaged in small group reading instruction at the same time as their grade level peers. This prevents students from missing any core instruction in their classrooms and ensures that ALL students benefit from our Title and LAP programs.
Please look for the SOAR section of this year’s monthly Broad View newsletters for tips and tricks on how to support your readers at home.
As your LAP and Title teachers, we are here to partner with you in meeting your child’s reading needs.

Attendance Matters
Good attendance helps children do well in school and eventually in the workplace. Good attendance matters for school success, starting as early as prekindergarten and throughout elementary school. By middle and high school, poor attendance is a leading indicator of dropout. Developing the habit of attendance prepares students for success on the job and in life. We are lucky to have such great families at Broad View that partner with us to make sure students are at school every day.
