Kiker Families and Caretakers,
The countdown has begun to the first day of school! I hope that the school supply and shoe shopping is going well! Perhaps this is even the year your child has their own alarm clock?! 😉 Thank you to everyone who came out over the weekend and put a lot of sweat into helping our campus look amazing! It is now ready to welcome our students back. 💙
This Thursday you will be receiving an email from your child's teacher! I wanted to share with you that groups of people and several hours of schedule making have gone into creating classes and assigning teachers. There are a multitude of factors that are considered when placing each of our over 700 students into their classes. Our teachers have dedicated themselves to this profession and will be excited to welcome your child to their classroom. 🍎Changes will only be considered at this time if there is a documented student need.
The theme that our staff voted on for this year is 🌳🌻 "Comets Planting Kindness". 🌻🌳 We will regularly be reminded that in a world where we have so many choices...it's always best to choose kindness!

A: When the teachers emails you on Thursday, she will send a "Sign-Up Genius" for days/times on Friday and/or Monday depending on the teacher. Meetings will be in 10 minute increments.

Kiker Elementary collaborates with outside vendors to bring a variety of experiences to our after school program. They are all individual businesses. For that reason, specific questions about clubs, schedules, etc. should be directed towards them before contacting Kiker staff as they will have the most detailed information. You can click on the title or the graphic to the right to find out all of the details!

🚌AISD Bus Information
If you have a student that is planning on riding the bus this year, please read the information below from our AISD transportation department:
2024-25 Bus information for eligible students (CLICK HERE for AISD page)
We recommend families whose students are eligible for General Education transportation to check their bus information by checking the district’s “Bus Stop Finder''. The System will be back live on our website on Monday August 5th.
- Families whose students qualify for Special Education transportation will be notified individually.

PTA - Help Us Stock The Lounge!
Our Annual "Stock The Lounge" is back! Every year, we as PTA families help stock the lounge to support our amazing faculty and staff during the first days of school.
Details and instructions are in the SignUp Genius, and we'll share dropoff details in a separate email on Friday (please don't take them to Kiker!). THANK YOU for supporting Kiker educators!
