AP Award
Coldwater High School has earned the College Board AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award for achieving high female representation in AP Computer Science Principles. Schools honored with an AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award have expanded access to AP computer sciences courses for females in their community. Awardees must either have reached 50% or higher female representation in AP computer science courses or have achieved a percentage of female computer science exam takers that meets or exceeds that of the school's female population. Coldwater High School was one of only 847 intuitions recognized for improving female representation in AP CSP.
Early College Program
A Safe and Secure Environment
We continue to work on creating an academic environment where every student feels safe and supported at Coldwater High School. We have had nearly half as many fights at Coldwater High School this year as compare to last year at this time. For the 2023/2024 school year there were 53 student fights. For first semester this year, there have been 26. We still have more work to do, as one fight is one too many. However, it is nice to see this reduction.
Scheduling for 2025-2026
At the end of this month, students will start to make schedules for the 2025-2026 school year. Please pay attention to any emails from CHS and CHS counselors regarding this process. All students will have a course request sheet to be signed by parents.
Law Enforcement Appreciation Day
Law Enforcement Appreciation Day was January 9, 2025. We appreciate Coldwater Police Department officer Robin Swartz making every day safer and brighter. Office Swartz has been the school resource officer at Coldwater High School for four years now! Officer Swartz collaborates with administrators, teachers, students and parents supporting a safe and welcoming environment.
Cardinal Week
Cardinal Week is January 20 - 24. The week starts with hall decorating Monday afternoon, as there is no school for students on Monday. Theme days follow Tuesday through Friday with a Glow Dance after the basketball game Friday evening. Have a spirited week!
Parent Volunteers Wanted
CHS Parents,
We are in need of parents to help us supervise halls and the cafeteria. This can be an enjoyable service with positive interaction with CHS students. If you would like to learn more please call Mrs. Karen Kinsey at 517-279-5930 or contact via email at kinseyk@ccscards.org.
