Important Dates:

• We have school Friday, Feb 7th as a snow makeup day. We will run an advisory schedule.
• Math Teachers will be out of the classroom on Feb 5-6th for training on Building Thinking Classrooms. (Our district signed up for a 6 yr study with CES).
• Health students will take the Youth Resiliency Survey on Feb 5th with Mr. Griego.
• ACCESS Testing is all week. Brittany sent the schedule on email last week. (I am including it here as an attachment.)

If you are a Level I or II teacher, please get with your evaluator soon to schedule your second evaluation of Domains 2 and 3. These must be completed by March 6th.

We will be scoring your Domain 1 lesson plans submissions this week, so please make sure you have completed this in Canvas as well.

If you have any maintenance requests for your classroom, please let us know so that we may get those requests in as soon as possible.

It's imperative that you take attendance within the first 15 minutes of class. Please make sure you are doing this consistently. If a student is 15 minutes late or more, they need to be marked unexcused.

Please read the attached below in regard to the state policies in regard to immigration and students enrolled in public school.

Our district's legal counsel also created a presentation attached below from a district stand point.

If you have any questions or concerns please reach out. If families are concerned or worried please put them at ease that they need to continue attending school and they are safe.

Students who failed one or more classes last semester should receive a letter in the mail asking to choose from one of three options to make up their course:

• After school credit recovery Mon-Thurs until 5:45 pm
• (Melina Sanchez will run it Mon/Wed and Ryan Romero Tues/Thurs )
• Spring Break Academy (Come to school during Spring Break for 4 hrs. a day) anyone interested please let Ms. Rivera know. We will offer he extra duty pay to middle school teachers if we can not get anyone at SHS to support Spring break Academy)
• Summer school during the whole month of June. If you would like to work please let Ms. Rivera know.
