Irving's School Improvement Goals
Goal #1 - We will have a 5% decrease in the number of students who are chronically absent. (Students are chronically absent when they have missed 10% or more of the school year.)
Data update: As of February 1st, 21.26% of students at Irving are chronically absent. That is a 10% decrease from where we ended last year. This is improvement!! Please continue making sure your child/children get to school on time every day so we can keep crushing this goal!
Goal #2 - We will increase our literacy and math ISASP test scores by 5% in grades 3rd-5th AND 80% students in grades K-2 who are not yet proficient will make typical or aggressive growth on our FAST literacy test.
Data update: According to our mid-year FAST data, 57.76% of our targeted K-2 students made typical or aggressive growth. This is below our goal of 80% but we will continue to adjust our teaching to make sure students are growing toward their literacy goals each day.
