Student-Athlete Spotlight
Tessa Gray
After winning the Softball 4A Maryland State Championship in the Spring, Tessa Gray shifted her focus to Field Hockey for the Fall Season. Her game winning goal in the SMAC Championship game lifted the Raiders to a 1-0 lead over Patuxent High School and clinched the SMAC Title that alluded them last year.
Tessa was a dominant force on the field throughout the season. She led the team in total points (60), shots on goal (52), total goals (29) and game winning goals (7). Her individual skills are coupled with a great work ethic and a strong sense of competition that made her a leader on and off the field. Tessa will be taking her field hockey skills to Salisbury State University next year. However, you still have time to catch Tessa and the rest of the softball team on the field this Spring as they plan to defend their softball state title. Congratulations Tessa on a great Field Hockey Season and good luck in the Spring!
