Sensational Cells!
Biology teacher Ms. Chan has reported that Biology involves complicated concepts and students can often say, "It doesn’t make sense." She wanted to help them understand how the cell membrane works, including the proteins and transport mechanisms involved in the process. Students, like Reggie pictured at right, conducted a bubble lab to visualize the flexibility and fluidity of the cell membrane.
In a separate lab, students were taught how to make their own wet mount slides for both cheek cells and onion cells. They were able to view these under the microscope connected to the Newline TV. Pictured above is Kester, stunned at his results!
