Our fall parties at RR will take place on Thursday, October 31st (our ELP 3 and EC classrooms will communicate their times/days) Your student's classroom teacher will communicate the exact times/activities with you.
A few reminders about costumes:
- Students cannot wear their costumes all day
- Costumes that include extreme blood/gore are not allowed
- Weapons for costumes are not allowed
- Students should be able to get into and out of their independently. Our staff do not have the capacity/time to dress over 20 kids in each class :)
Thank you for your support!
Safety Week
We continue to prioritize safety in the School District of New Berlin! Part of the way that we do that is through emergency drill practice. In October, we take the time to complete some of our required drills for the year, so students know what to expect. During the week of October 14th:
Monday: Teachers will review all drill procedures with our students using age appropriate language
Tuesday: We will have our October Fire Drill. We are required to practice this monthly, and already had one in September!
Wednesday: Severe Weather Drill (formerly "tornado drill"), where students will move to their storm shelter locations, practice the safe position, and we evaluate the building for space, etc. This drill is required twice per year, and we will complete another one in April.
Thursday: Hold Drill. This type of situation would occur if there was a medical or student emergency in the hallways. Teachers close/lock their door and continue teaching as they normally would. We will also complete this again in the spring.
Our overarching message to all students for any drill is "Listen to the adult that you are with." Our staff have had additional training with our New Berlin Police Department on other types of potential emergencies and how to respond.
As always, please reach out to administration with any questions or concerns you might have.
Fall Conference Dates
Per the 2024-2025 school calendar, teachers must hold parent-teacher conferences during the weeks of 10/21 and 10/28. At Ronald Reagan, we have selected two common nights that the majority of our conferences will be held:
- Thursday, October 24; 4:30-7:30
- Wednesday, October 30; 4:30-7:30
Selecting two common dates helps our specialist teachers be available, as well as our special education staff.
Teachers may still schedule conferences outside of those two dates to accommodate family schedules. Your student's homeroom teacher will reach out with exact times to sign up.
We look forward to continuing to partner with you to support your student's learning here at Ronald Reagan!
BRING YOUR FAMILY TO PE week is October 7-10!
This is a national program sponsored by Active Schools and we thought it would be fun for families to see what is being learned in PE class as well as have an opportunity to join in the activity! It is completely voluntary for you to participate - you are welcome just to observe as well. Family members are welcome to attend 1 class with their child during their regularly scheduled PE class. If you have multiple children at Reagan, you may attend with each of them 1 time.
If you are interested in attending, please click on the link below, find your child’s homeroom teacher and time of class, and sign up so we know how many to expect. You will be required to put your name, email address, add a comment telling us your child’s first/last name and if you will participate or observe. Keep in mind that this invitation is for PE only and if you want to observe other classes you need to set that up with those specific teachers. We also ask that you refrain from bringing other children with you at this time for learning and safety purposes.
Bring Your Family to PE Sign-Up!
On the day you attend PE, please arrive a few minutes early to check into the office (you will need a valid ID for the RAPTOR program if you have not had it scanned at the front office) and, if participating, come dressed for the fun learning activities we have planned.
Please let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to seeing some of you in a couple weeks!

Katie Mulloy

{NEW} FROM THE DISTRICT
Support Student Mental Health on World Mental Health Day!
The Education Foundation of New Berlin (EFNB), in partnership with the School District of New Berlin’s Mental Health Advisory Committee, is launching a special day of giving on October 10 in honor of the WHO’s World Mental Health Day. Funds raised will go directly to the Drew Lietke Memorial Mental Health Care Fund at the EFNB, ensuring that all students in the district can access essential mental health care, regardless of financial barriers. Please consider making a donation here to help us reach our $2,500 goal to provide support for student well-being. Together, we can ensure that every student in the SDNB has access to the mental health care they need to thrive academically and emotionally.
Parents: Help Your Child Get Ready for School!
The School District of New Berlin is hosting: Developmental Screenings for 3-5 year olds
Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024 | Monday, Dec. 15, 2024 | Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025 | Tuesday, March 11, 2025 | Wednesday, April 2, 2025 | Tuesday, May 13, 2025
*Screenings are limited to residents of the School District of New Berlin and resident families attending 4K at Heritage Christian School, Holy Apostles School or Star of Bethlehem School.
To build foundational skills and support readiness for school, the School District of New Berlin holds “Ready, Set, Go!” screenings for all of our early learners ages 3-5 years old. During this 60-minute screening we will observe the children’s skills in the areas of speech/language, motor, self-help, early learning and social development. The goal of the screening is to offer parents feedback regarding their child’s development and helpful information to get their child ready for school.
Please go to our website for enrollment information and the necessary forms to register for Ready. Set. Go!

Eisenhower Theater presents The Secret Case of Sherlock Holmes
Eisenhower Theater kicks off it's 24/25 season with a hilarious farce!
Upstart detectives Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are on their first case. Their client, a young H.G. Wells, has hired the novice detectives to find a manuscript by Arthur Conan Doyle. Hiding from their angry landlord, Holmes and Watson duck into Wells’s time machine, push a few buttons, and soon find themselves in the 21st century. They end up at the Freudly Institute, where they meet Marilyn Monroe, George Washington, Tarzan, Emily Dickinson, Count Dracula, Lizzie Borden, and Queen Victoria. Actually, these are patients at the institution with grandiose delusions that they are these famous characters, which explains why Holmes is treated like just another patient! And they think Watson is his doctor who’s just “playing along”!
When the body of an unknown victim is found on the grounds of the institute, Holmes sets out to uncover the clues, while trying to prove that he is the real Sherlock Holmes.
