March Newsletter
Note from Mrs. Beiswenger
March is Reading Month! Ms. Coley and Mrs. Clark, our Library Assistant and our Library Media Specialist have planned some fun activities throughout the month! (see the calendar below) PTO is also sponsoring a STEM night in collaboration with Gateway to Science at Highland Acres. It is a great experience for students so mark your calendars for March 20 beginning at 5:30.
I also wanted to remind all families about the change to our Camp Ed location for this summer. We will be moving over to Roosevelt as Highland Acres will be going through a big flooring project including abatement. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes but I am hoping that the result of will be worth it. The gym floor will totally be replaced, as well as the flooring in 4 classrooms, office, resource room, library, and lounge. Please call the office if you have any questions about Camp Ed and/or how to register.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Beiswenger

Schoolwide Cabin Update:
Our Highland Acres students continue to meet their goal of at least 1,500 stickers per month. This month they earned 1,842 stickers with the Green Team (Strength) contributing the most with 523 stickers. The reward for achieving our goal this month is a glow stick dance party which will be held at the end of the day on 3/3/25.
The upcoming life skill for the month of March is politeness. Michelle Erdmann attended our HAWKS Happenings Assembly on 2/28/25 to talk about politeness and the Norwegian culture.
