Annual Online Registration
All students must be registered every year. The annual registration is done completely online and is open August 8th through August 23rd. Please login to IC and register your child(ren) as soon as possible once registration opens. More detailed information can be found on the McFarland School District 2023-24 Online Registration webpage. If you need assistance with online registration, please stop by the high school main office between 8:00 am - noon or 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm beginning August 8th and throughout the registration window.

Senior Parking
Sign Up Thursday, August 17th
There are 115 parking permits available this year. Seniors will have the opportunity to sign up for parking on Thursday, August 17th, from 6:00 AM - 11:55 PM. Specific information regarding online sign-up will be sent to students and parents/guardians via Infinite Campus.
Some basic guidelines for parking:
You will NOT have a specific parking stall number. Parking in the lot, with a permit, will be on a first come-first serve basis. Students who park in the lot without a permit will be ticketed and/or towed.
You may NOT park in a stall with an “E” before the number or if it is marked “Visitor.” Failure to follow this guideline will result in a ticket and possible loss of parking privileges.
After sign-up takes place, approved students will receive an email on Monday, August 21st, with a link to complete a google form with car information and acknowledgement of the parking regulations. The $25 parking fee will be applied to their IC account.
Students will receive their permit after they have paid the $25 fee and completed the google form. Payments, forms, and permits must all be taken care of by August 31st. You may not park in the lot until you have received your permit.
All parking fees for seniors must be paid by Thursday, August 31st. After that, available spots will be opened up to waitlisted seniors.
If you are a senior who did not get a spot during sign up, please stop by the office and see Julie starting September 5th to get on the list.
This process is repeated in January. Parking does NOT carry over from semester 1 to semester 2. You must reapply.
Senior Release
Apply Before School Starts
This year, we are being proactive in having students apply for senior release. We would like to have senior release on students' schedules prior to the start of the school year, so that it can begin right away. Senior students can use this link to access the application. New this year, senior parents will have a section in online registration indicating that they either agree or disagree with their child having senior release. If a student completes the application, meets criteria, and has parent approval, their schedules will be adjusted. Senior release expectations are linked here for reference.
Please note, students who have senior release will be expected to leave the building daily and cannot choose to stay some days and leave others. Senior release will replace a study hall and is non credit bearing. Senior release is a privilege and may be revoked if students cannot remain in good standing academically, behaviorally, and attendance-wise. Senior release can be applied for at any time during the school year.

Meet Your New APs
PJ Harper
Hello! My name is PJ Harper, and I am thrilled to be joining the new admin team here at MHS. Professionally, I bring 17 years of experience as an educator - 10 in the classroom and 7 years in leadership roles. Personally, I was born and raised in Arkansas and moved to Wisconsin in my twenties. My husband, Scott, and I moved to McFarland 2 years ago with our Brady Bunch family and got married last summer in our backyard - with my oldest daughter officiating. Hobbies include paddling, biking, hiking, camping, skiing, live music, reading and art - and we feel so lucky to do most of those things right here in McFarland. We just love it here, and I couldn’t be happier to be able to serve in the community that I call home.
Dana Schoemer
I am Dana Schoemer, and I am happy to be joining the MHS team as a new Associate Principal. This will be the start of my ninth year in administration, and I am looking forward to bringing my positive energy and ideas to the high school. My teaching background is in special education. I spent five years working at Parker High School within the special education department, specifically working with students with intellectual disabilities. During part of that time, I served as the department chair for the special education department, was the summer school lead teacher, and filled in as associate principal for a quarter. After teaching, I took on my first administrative role at Rio Middle/High School as the Principal and Athletic Director. I remained in that role for three years prior to working at Stoughton High School as Associate Principal, where I have been for the last five years. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my daughter Brennley (5) and dog Mya (9), being outdoors as much as possible, and singing in my acapella group. I am eager and excited to be working in this community, growing together to support students in becoming productive members of the community and making McFarland High School a place where people feel safe, supported, and included.
