The Newbie Corner: Draft Boards
Many of our customers tell us one of their favorite features at DataForce is the draft boards. Average draft position is nice to know (and we have an excellent tool for this under Draft->AverageDraftPos) but there's nothing like a visual to detect draft patterns, right?
While you're drafting, be sure to check out the Draft->DraftBoard page. It refreshes every fifteen seconds, so you can keep an eye on your draft status. This is especially helpful during live drafts!
You can actually view all leagues that have drafted at DataForce, not just your own! Now that we've got several drafts underway for this year, reviewing other drafts is vital to building a strategy.
- When does the rush on quarterbacks occur?
- How long can you wait to pick up your favorite sleeper / handcuff?
- Recognize any of the team names on the boards? Who is likely to nab Brock Bowers, and how early?
- Are you drafting near the turn? For example, if you draft 11th, make sure you know precisely what players are on team 12's roster. If he's got his quarterback already, you can wait until after the turn to select yours.
