Master Artist Performs with Jazz Students
As part of the Friends of LVA Master Artists Series, renowned bassist Alexander Claffy collaborated and shared his experience with Jazz students. He performed with students at the first music concert of the season, "Aquarium Jazz," on Tuesday, September 11, in the Lowden Theater. The non-profit Friends of LVA sponsors the 2024-2025 Master Artist Series.
The concert "Aquarium Jazz" was an immersive musical experience where the fluidity of jazz melodies mirrored the graceful movements of aquatic life. The concert featured a dynamic ensemble of musicians whose improvisations flow like the currents of an underwater world, creating an atmosphere that is both tranquil and vibrant. As the lights shimmer like sunlight through water, the audience was transported to a serene, rhythmic seascape where jazz and the ocean intertwine. Jazz 1, Jazz 2, and Jazz 3 performed alongside guest artist, great bassist Alexander Claffy from New York City.
