When fans, coaches, and parents act poorly at high school athletic events, we ALL lose.
Especially our students.
Enough is enough. Let's all #BenchBadBehavior for good!
Subject: Important Information: Delayed Start Schedule for Staff Professional Development- 2025-26 School Year
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope you are doing well! I’m sharing some news about our 2025-26 school year calendar. We are introducing four two-hour delayed start days to focus on our dedicated staff's professional development.
These delayed starts will provide our teachers and support staff invaluable opportunities to engage in training sessions, collaborative planning, and workshops to enhance their teaching practices. Ultimately, this investment in our staff translates to even better student learning experiences!
Here are the scheduled delayed start dates to add to your calendars:
- **Friday, September 26:** School begins two hours later than usual.
- **Friday, December 5:** School begins two hours later than usual.
- **Friday, March 6:** School begins two hours later than usual.
- **Friday, April 24:** School begins two hours later than usual.
Just like in bad weather delays, buses will run two hours later this morning. The school day will start two hours later but will end at the regular time. Please note that bus times for the career center and other alternative educational programs will not change.
We know that any schedule change can be tricky, and we appreciate your support as we make these adjustments to benefit everyone. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.
Thank you for being such a vital part of the Orrville Schools community!
