Titan Juniors Celebrate!
Last weekend our Junior class held their prom at Casa Larga Vineyards. Over 300 students celebrated into the night. Thank you to class advisors Mrs. Lee and Mrs. Phillips and the Class of 2025 officers for organizing this fun event. We are looking forward to next week's Senior Ball! Titan Updates
3rd Annual Black Student Alliance Conference
On Friday May 3rd, the Thomas Black and Brown Student Union along with the Schroeder BBSU to attend the 3rd Annual Black Student Alliance Conference at Allendale Columbia. Our students got to collaborate with other Black Student Unions across Monroe County to discuss topics such as events BSU's host, the impact that BSU's have on their community, common experiences, and the celebration of Black Joy.
Titan Staff Recognized
Congratulations to Mr. Mcbride, Mrs. Warren and Mrs. Schoenweitz who were recognized last evening at the Monroe County Got Dreams Celebration. This event focuses on celebrating mental health awareness in our community by showcasing inspiring stories & performances, opportunities to connect with local resources & information on what ALL OF US can do to stamp out the stigma around mental health!

Titans Compete at Monroe County Envirothon
Webster Thomas Earth Club competed in the Monroe County Envirothon on Tuesday May 7th. They collaborated on the topics of aquatics, current issues, forestry, soils, and wildlife in addition to an oral presentation. Jessica V., Kilah L., and Trinity H. placed 8th out of 20 teams overall and took home 1st place in the oral presentation. They have been working extremely hard and we couldn't be more proud of their leadership and professionalism at the competition.

We are planning a Freshman only End of Year Celebration on Saturday June 8th. To vote on the movie we will watch you need to fill out the Google Form on the Class of 2027 Google Classroom page.

Business Department Entrepreneurship
The Business Department Entrepreneurship classes will be having Market Day on Tuesday, May 21st during all lunch blocks. Market Day is when students apply their skills and knowledge, along with their talents, and launch a pop-up business for the day. During Market Day the following businesses will be available:
Billy Bag Candy Co., Burger Delicious, Flap Jackers and Shake Shed.
Tickets will be PRE-SOLD and available for purchase during most lunch blocks outside the cafeteria. Please come support your fellow classmates and students as they experience what it's like to be an entrepreneur for a day.
Italy and Greece, July 2025
This is the time to plan your summer adventures in Italy and Greece, July 2025. The informational meeting is on Monday May 13th @ 6:30 pm, Spry Middle School, in the large meeting room on the second floor (come in through the front side of the building and take the main staircase). 3rd annual Trades & Job Fair
SAVE THE DATE Thomas High School is hosting our third annual Trades & Job Fair on Monday May 20th in the Field House from 10:30 a.m - 1:30 p.m.
Over 60 representatives from trade schools, apprenticeships, unions, technical colleges, and employers will be hosting informational sessions for students. There also will be local businesses who are looking for part time employees and summer help.
Students can attend during free blocks and/or lunch to learn more about vocational, trades and employment opportunities
We encourage students to prepare and bring copies of their Activity Resume using SchooLinks (seniors use Naviance). A Resume Workshop will be held May 14th during lunch blocks in the counseling center for students looking for assistance.

SENIOR BALL
This year’s Senior Ball will be held:
Saturday, May 18, 2024
Eagle Vale Golf Club
7:00 – 11:00 PM
(Dinner served at 7:30)
Senior Ball will feature a buffet dinner, desserts, an event favor, a DJ, and a photo booth.
Senior Ball tickets will be sold Monday, April 15 - Thursday April 18 before and after school in room 339 and outside of the Senior Lounge during most lunch blocks.
If you are bringing a guest who is not a current Thomas student, you need to submit a completed guest application form to your house office no later than Friday, May 10.
Expectations for Senior Ball:
You must have a ticket to enter the event.
You must be in school on Friday, May 17th in order to attend the event. If you are absent, you will not be admitted.
Once you arrive at the event, you may not leave and come back. If you leave the building, you will be asked to leave the grounds and will not be readmitted.

Titan Athletes of the Month for May
Madie H- Softball
Maddie works extremely hard at everything she does. She is having a stellar season pitching for Thomas Varsity Softball. She is currently batting .413 with 8 singles, 9 doubles and 2 homeruns. She has pitched 81 innings so far this season. Her ERA 2.42 with 57 Ks.
Owen T- Golf
We would like to recognize Owen T as the varsity golf athlete of the week. Owen has been the medalist (lowest round of any player) in 5 out of our 7 matches so far this season. He is currently ranked #1 among the Monroe County Boys Golf Individual Leaderboard with an average score of 36.1. Owen exhibits all the qualities of a leader on and off the course!

Girls Track and Field
The girls track team lost a close meet to Rush Henrietta. Winning events for the titans were: Malia S in the mile, Brooke S in both the 100m and 200m, Gianna L in the high jump, Ellie S in the discus with an all time best of 95'11" and Jenna D in the pole vault, jumping her best of 9'6". The girls 4x400 relay team also came in 1st with Julia J, Jenna M, Nina M and Siera S.
Boys Track and Field
The Thomas Boys Track and Field team beat Rush Henrietta 91-50 last night. Calvin L won the High Jump and Long Jump and Khimere J won the 100 and 200. The meet ended with Aidyn H Pole Vaulting late into the night and setting a personal best and new school record of 13'6" .
Up Next the boys travel to Eastridge to defend their Lancer Invite Title from 2023
Boys Lacrosse
The Titans lost to Brighton Tuesday evening. Logan F, Joe T, Jake P each had a goal. Jagger A recorded 2 assists. Brandon T had 1 goal and 1 assist. Jonah J had 1 goal and 2 assists. Lucas Estelle had 2 goals in goal Joshua J made 6 saves in 48 minutes played.
Girls Lacrosse
The Titans lost to Brighton Wednesday evening 7-4. Harper B Mia E., each recorded an assist. Hannah R had a goal. Sophia S had 3 goals on the night. In goal Megan S made 7 saves in 48 minutes played.
Girls Flag Football
The Titans are the number one seed in Class A. The sectional Quarterfinals will be Monday 5/13 at home vs Gates Chili.
Boys Golf
Owen T has qualified for the Tournament of Champions which takes place next Tuesday at Webster Golf Course. Meanwhile Boston D , Vlad L and Valentino M all qualified for the MC Satellite Tournament which was played Thursday at Eagle Vale Golf Course.
Baseball
The Titans beat Gates Chili Monday evening 9-3. Jake D pitched a complete game with 4 strikeouts allowing only 6 hits and 0 earned runs. Joe B went 4-4 with a double and aRBI. Ben H had 3 hits, a double and triple and an RBI. Kory F had 2 hits and 2 RBIs Joe P, Shane T, Tyler E, and Evan C each had a hit.
The Titans are on a three game win streak beating Gates Chili Thursday evening 11-2. They are now 9-8. Owen Z had 2 hits 4 RBis Joe B and Ben H each had 2 hits, 3 runs and 1 RBI. Tyler E and Drew R each had a hit and scored 1 run, 1 RBI and 1 SB. Cameron G Nate C and Kory F each had hits. Joe P picked up the win with 5 innings pitched 6 strikeouts and 1 earned run. Ben H had 4 strikeouts in 2 innings pitched. The Titans travel to Hilton to take on the Cadets Friday evening.
Softball
The Thomas Varsity Softball Team defeated Brighton Monday night 9-0. Thomas won 9-0
Ruby M. went 3 for 3 with 1 run scored. Olivia B. went 2-3 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI
Ella M. went 2-4 with 1 run scored and 2 RBI. Maddie H. went 2-4 at the plate and pitched a 2 hitter with 4 strikeouts.
The Thomas Varsity Softball team traveled to Irondequoit Wednesday for a 2023 sectional final rematch. Thomas won 20-2 and with the victory the girls secured the Class AA Division II title. Olivia B. pitched 2 innings and gave up 1 hit and went 2-4 at the plate. Ruby M. went 4-4 with 3 doubles, 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Julia M. went 4-4 with 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Eliya H. went 3-4 with 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
Thomas travels to play the 2023 Class A State Champion Maine Endwell team today. Webster Thomas is currently 13-2.
Boys Tennis
The Titans Tennis Team traveled to Brockport on Thursday and came home with a broom as they had a sweeping victory, winning all five courts played. William L and Aidan H won at singles. And then pairs Camren O and Ethan J, Luke S and Nate W, and Joel H and Manveer S won at doubles. Isaac and Josiah also demonstrated top level agility serving as ball boys. On to team sectionals next week!
