A Quarter Century of Advocacy: Kiwanis Club of Darboy’s Impact
The Kimberly Area School District (KASD) is proud to celebrate the Kiwanis Club of Darboy on its 25th anniversary of dedicated service to our community. For a quarter of a century, the Kiwanis Club has been a vital partner to Kimberly High School’s (KHS) Key Club, providing crucial support and fostering a legacy of leadership and volunteerism among our students.
In recognition of its support for youth of the community and the Kimberly Area Schools, the Kiwanis Club of Darboy was recently nominated by our district for the Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators (WASDA) Child Advocacy Award. This nomination underscores the significant impact of their dedicated service and commitment to enhancing the educational and developmental opportunities for our students.

Inspiring Girls Who Code
The Kimberly Area School District recently hosted a Women in Technology (WIT) Wisconsin - Microsoft Girls Workshop, open to all 5th through 8th grade girls in the District. The event was sponsored by Kimberly-Clark, who generously furnished the presenters, and provided Adafruits (a type of programming component/circuit board) for all attendees. Participants worked with new technology through the use of the Adafruits Playground Express Circuit Boards and heard from female role models in the tech world who shared their passion for computer science!
