Tahoe's 2024 Jog-A-Thon is quickly approaching! Here's what you need to know:

• All TK-6th grade, plus our Parent Participation Preschool, will participate in the Jog-A-Thon on October 18th! Here's the schedule of when each class will run. You are welcome to come and encourage your student's group.
• We are currently seeking sponsors! Connect with Mrs. Bennett by October 2nd if you have an interested business!
• Students and Staff are collecting pledges through 99 Pledges and paper pledge forms. We will continue to collect the paper forms each Friday.
• A sign-up for volunteers will be posted on ParentSquare soon!
• We are collecting student prizes. You can buy from our Amazon wishlist (or use it as a guide for ideas of prizes to purchase elsewhere).
• Want to purchase a Jog-A-Thon shirt for you or an extra for your student? Order here by October 3rd!

As a school, we did wonderfully with our 20-Day Attendance Challenge!

• We had 249 students with EXCELLENT ATTENDANCE, missing zero or one day during the whole month of September!
• As a school we had an attendance rate of over 93%, so the entire school has earned extra recess with a frozen treat!
• And the following classes will receive extra recess time and popcorn for having the best attendance for all of September:
1. Borrelli- 98.06%
2. Avery- 95.86%
3. Rankhorn- 95.22%

The AMAZING Tahoe PTA meets on the first Wednesday of each month! You can join us in person (in Room 8) or on Microsoft Teams from 5:30-6:30pm! (Note the updated 24/25 link info!)

All Tahoe teachers and staff are using ParentSquare to communicate with families this year! You will need just ONE app to receive news from Mrs. Bennett, your students' teachers, see the calendar of school events, etc. (No more remind, dojo, etc.) Be sure to download the app today!

We will have our first meeting of the year on October 8th! (Our meetings are generally on the second Tuesday of the month, from 4:00-5:00.)

Who's ready to come out and cheer for our Tahoe Tigers?!?!

Tahoe Elementary is signed up to join the 2024 Runnin’ for Rhett Fall Training Program, and participation is FREE!

All students in grades 1 - 6 are welcome to sign up through October 31st. Our 6-week training program starts on October 22 and culminates in completing a 5k with their peers and other schools on December 7 in Land Park.

Practice/Training will be after school until 4pm on Tuesdays & Wednesdays, starting on October 22. Parents are welcome to join! Students can sign up here.

Students and staff are encouraged to dress up in Halloween costumes on October 31st! We ask that all costumes be school appropriate (remembering that students as young at 3 are regularly on campus) and not keep students from participating in class. No weapons (even out of plastic) are allowed on campus. Masks must be taken off while at school for safety purposes.

October 23-31: Red Ribbon Week (Daily Themes will be shared SOON!)

Being at school everyday, on time, is extremely important! Research shows that students with chronic absences are more likely to fall behind both academically and socially. We know, though, that life happens. And if your student is sick/contagious, we want them to stay home to rest and recuperate without sharing germs with everyone else in the class. All absences, should be communicated with Ms. Blanca in the front office. You may call (and speak to a human or leave a message) 916-395-4750 or report an absence online.

Our school office hours are 8:30am-4:00pm, Monday - Friday (expect on school holidays). The front (wooden) doors of the school open at 8:45am on school days, so if you are outside and need assistance, please call the front office at 916-395-4750.
