Inglewood Primary School
NEWSLETTER No 04 - 28 February 2019
Our Mission:
Learning to think, to do, to be
Ako ki te whakaaro, ako ki te mahi, ako kia ora ai te mauri
Our Vision: To provide a teaching and learning environment where of those involved: demonstrate respect, expect the best, achieve through opportunity, communicate actively & feel good and safe
Another busy week for us all at IPS. Students have settled into class routines really well. Students have enjoyed taking part in the Life Education Trust sessions and forming positive relationships within class through team building activities and REACH values.
The REACH rep and school leadership interviews are well underway and winter sports codes are also beginning to be organised. Please ensure your child returns sign up slips by the due date as this will ensure no one misses out.
Later this year schools will hold elections for Board of Trustees. If you are considering standing for a position on the Board, or are interested in finding out more information about the role the Board plays in the governance of schools, then an informative meeting on March 26 would be worthwhile attending. Further information about this event is at the end of this newsletter.
Upcoming Teacher Only Day
On Friday March 8, our staff will be involved in Professional Development with all other staff from our Kahui Ako Community of Learning schools. This is an opportunity for staff to collaborate with other teachers and build on our understanding and implementation of the new Digital Technology curriculum and Cultural Proactiveness learning. We value this opportunity and appreciate your continued support as parents around this yearly Professional Development day.
