An update from the Virtual Academy
Week of June 3, 2024
Student Spotlight
Thank you to all of our Virtual Academy students for making this school year memorable. We hope that each and everyone of you has an enjoyable summer!
Top Five in Five
The top five things you need to know for this week!
1. Last week of classes
This is the last week of classes! Finish strong by attending your scheduled meets and completing all work. Grades are closed this week, so please be sure to work with your teachers to make sure you have met the requirements to pass the class.
2. Early Dismissals
3. Summer Recovery
If you did not pass one of your classes you will be offered summer recovery.
Depending on the grades you have earned in previous marking periods, you may be assigned just marking period 4 OR the full year course if you would need to earn more than a 60% for marking period recovery to pass the class.
Mrs. Scheetz will be communicating with students who have recovery on Monday, June 10th.
All coursework completed over the summer has a deadline of August 2, 2024 (unless you are a senior who would like to get a HS Diploma but missed the deadline for the ceremony) and will be monitored by an assistant principal from your home high school.
4. Are you returning to your home school? REMINDER
If you are returning to your home school for next year (CHS, LHS, GMHS) you MUST turn in your VA laptop at the Virtual Academy.
Dates to turn in are June 7 and June 10. You can come by the Virtual Academy at any time BETWEEN 8 AM AND 3 PM, and we hope to have your high school laptop ready for you so you can swap it out.
Any computer not returned to the VA for students returning to school will result is a debt for the cost of the laptop, stylus, headset and connecting cords.
Ms. Cabanacan is communicating with students who are returning, so please be sure to check your email.
