Support the Frisco Rail District and give back to your school. The Frisco Chamber of Commerce invites you to participate in the Receipt Race and help local businesses during construction in the downtown Frisco Area.

How it Works:

• Shop, dine, do business with/buy from any Frisco Rail District business (see the Old Town Commercial map at the link below) between Now and December 31, 2024.
• Save your receipts! Dollar amounts do not matter.
• Turn receipts in Cobb PTA (there will be a drop box in the front office) no later than January 15, 2025. (Digital receipts cannot be accepted and must be printed before being turned in.)
• The PTA with the most receipts can win up to $5,000!

The gist: These are tags that go on students' lanyards, along with their ID, that will replace the old bathroom pass system and come with a few other privileges as well!

Why: We want the students that always make the right choices to have privileges and less restrictions!

Four things guardians need to know:

1. Trust cards can be taken away if the privileges are abused or school rules are not followed.

2. Students can earn them back two times during the year, then lose the privilege for the remainder of the school year.

3. If your student does NOT have a Trust Card, they will still be able to use the restroom, of course! It will just be during passing periods or supervised, if during class time.

4. Our students came up with the system as away to meet their needs and still make sure our school is safe and students are learning.

NJHS is a national organization with a local chapter at Cobb Middle School. Invitations to apply for consideration of admissions will be coming in the new year in late February. In the meantime, all questions can be answered by reading more on the Cobb website.

Academic UIL is coming up. It will be held April 5, 2025. To become part of the Cobb team, tryouts will be in January. More information about the dates and competitions can be found on the Cobb website.
