McDougle Lions Roar

Hello McDougle Parents,

We placed an announcement in October on our web site, but I don't think I sent the announcement via the newsletter. Please know that McDougle has another Assistant Principal. Ms. Leach covers grades K, 2nd, 4th. Mr. Chavez covers grades 1st, 3rd, 5th. We all work with all students, so if you can't reach the designated assistant principal, you can reach out to any administrator. Please allow me to share the following words from our new assistant principal, Ms. Paige Leach.

I’m so excited to step into the role of Assistant Principal here at McDougle Elementary, a place that truly feels like home. Over the past nine years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching 4th and 5th grade, serving as an instructional specialist, and coaching both the math club and the coding club. I’ve loved watching our students discover their passions and achieve success in school, whether through academics, leadership, or extracurricular activities. McDougle has shaped me as a leader, and I’m honored to continue supporting and guiding our students as they grow and thrive.

Publicamos un anuncio en octubre en nuestro sitio web, pero no creo que lo haya enviado a través del boletín informativo. Sepa que McDougle tiene otra subdirectora. La Sra. Leach cubre los grados K, 2.º y 4.º. El Sr. Chavez cubre los grados 1.º, 3.º y 5.º. Estoy muy emocionada de asumir el rol de subdirectora aquí en la escuela primaria McDougle, un lugar que realmente se siente como un hogar. Durante los últimos nueve años, he tenido el privilegio de enseñar cuarto y quinto grado, servir como especialista en instrucción y entrenar tanto al club de matemáticas como al club de codificación. Please be reminded that parents should not send food for the class parties. Our wonderful McDougle PTO will provide pre-approved snacks for the party. Your child's teacher may reach out to you about something to send for the party other than food. Also, please note that holiday parties are for McDougle students only. We are not recommending parents and family members to attend parties.

If your child does not celebrate Christmas, please contact the front office or the child's teacher to let us know, and we will offer another activity for them during the holiday parties.

Recuerde que los padres no deben enviar comida para las fiestas de la clase. Nuestra maravillosa Asociación de Padres y Maestros de McDougle proporcionará bocadillos aprobados previamente para la fiesta. El maestro de su hijo puede comunicarse con usted para pedirle que envíe algo para la fiesta que no sea comida.       K, 1st, 5th Performance: 1:45pm – 2:45pm

  • December 20th: Winter/Holiday Parties will take place from 2:00 - 3:00 (Parties are for McDougle students only).

• 12/20 Last Day of 1st Semester / End of Grading Period 2
• 12/23 - 1/3 NO SCHOOL Winter Break

• January 6 & 7 - Staff Development Days - students do not attend.

• January 8, 2025 - Students Resume school for the second semester of the 2024-2025 school year

Hello McDougle Families,

We hope you had an enjoyable Thanksgiving Break! REMINDER that school resumes on Monday, December 2. We can't wait to see our McDougle students!

The school year is moving quickly! We are close to wrapping up our first semester. Parents please assist us by making sure your child is at school every day and on time. Students are released to classrooms at 7:45 and are marked tardy at 8:05. We start instruction on time and it is difficult for students to start the school day in a positive way when they are late to class. Thank you for helping our students have a successful start to the school day.

¡Esperamos que hayan disfrutado de las vacaciones de Acción de Gracias! RECUERDE que las clases se reanudan el lunes 2 de diciembre. ¡Estamos ansiosos por ver a nuestros estudiantes de McDougle!

¡El año escolar avanza rápidamente! Estamos cerca de finalizar nuestro primer semestre. Padres, por favor, ayúdennos a asegurarse de que sus hijos asistan a la escuela todos los días y a tiempo.     Parents, We will offer Fall Picture make-ups and retakes on December 6th. If you would like your child to retake pictures, please request an order form from the front office.
