The Boerne Middle School North Greyhounds traveled to Voss Middle School for an intense 8th-grade basketball district matchup, but it was a tough night for the team as both the A and B squads came up short against the Eagles.
In the opening game, the 8th grade B team struggled to find their rhythm against a physical Voss squad, ultimately falling in a hard-fought contest. Despite strong efforts from several players, the Greyhounds couldn’t overcome the Eagles’ aggressive defense and timely scoring, ending the game with a disappointing loss.
The 8th grade A team followed suit, facing another gritty battle against Voss. The Greyhounds showed resilience throughout the game, but the Eagles’ physical play and depth proved to be too much in the end. With both teams battling foul trouble and tight rotations, Boerne North was unable to secure a victory, leaving them with a second consecutive loss.
It was a rough outing for the Greyhounds, as both teams faced significant challenges on the court, including the physicality of the Eagles' defensive pressure. The loss highlights areas for improvement, but the Greyhounds are committed to reevaluating their approach and preparing for future contests.
Looking ahead, Boerne North plans to regroup, refocus, and build on the lessons learned from this tough matchup. With the season still underway, the Greyhounds are determined to bounce back and continue their growth as a team.
