Monday Memo and Motivation
Week 7: September 21, 2020
#RAMNATION
Principal's Update- September 21, 2020
Week 6 in the books!
Fall is upon us! You know what that means! Fall break is around the corner! I encourage you to continue growing and learning in this new age of virtual teaching. I am so proud we have made it this far. This process has not been as smooth as I would like, but we are definitely moving in the right direction. Your lessons are engaging and rigorous. When we have students complaining about the work, we know we are on the right track. Hold tight to a growth mindset and continue to encourage and uplift one another.
Fall into teaching and learning! Have a Great week!
RAMNATION GETS IT DONE!

Important Reminders/Updates:
- Canvas Homepage: Add Makeup Calendar and Tutoring Day and Time
- Contact at least 3-4 parents for parent teacher conferences- If you have students you have not seen or who are failing; I strongly suggest inviting them to a conference.
- We have a deadline to have several IEPs completed before October 1st. You may be asked to attend a meeting. As much as possible, meetings will be scheduled on asynchronous days. However, that will not always be the case. Please prepare your class for your absence and leave explicit directions if it is a synchronous day. If you are a core teacher MCLs may be able to facilitate your class if their schedule permits. They will need to know in advance, not the day of.
- Go Guardian Access- Each teacher of record should give their co-teacher access to their class as well as the Deans, MCLs and Assistant Principals.
- Attention: Clubs/Organization please begin signing students using the spreadsheet provided by Mrs. Fullilove. Remember- Every teacher/support staff should be apart of a club/organization. The goal was to start Clubs this Friday. Are we ready?
- Attendance: Remember Homeroom and take attendance in PowerSchool each class period- first 10 minutes. If a student is late you must go back and mark the student tardy.
- Teacher Absence: If you are going to be absent on any day, please duplicate the link below and post on your Canvas page so students can submit their attendance. Ms. Virgous will need editing access so she can retrieve the attendance for that day. If you do not provide her with the link; you will be responsible for submitting your attendance upon your return.
- We are updating the School Improvement Plan (SIP)- We may be calling on you for suggestions or ideas to make us better.
- Reminder: You should be submitting lesson plans for week 8, Monday morning by 8:00 am. Don't stress! Do your best and we will support you in getting caught up.
- Inform an assistant principal or the principal when there is a reason you aren't able to be engaged and visible in any Zoom professional session.
- Request for PTO days should be given 10 days prior to you needing to take the PTO day. Please be mindful, we are only in front of students 2 days a week and those days should be viewed as sacred.
Contact Mrs. Ward (Payne) to sign-up. Thanking you in advance.
