PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Hello Eagle Crest Families,
We made it! This school year has flown by, and as we wrap up these final days, I want to take a moment to thank you for your partnership, your support, and the trust you place in us every day.
Today’s celebrations—from our joyful music performances to the heartfelt 5th Grade Continuation—were a powerful reminder of the strength of our community. The love, pride, and energy we felt were a reflection of everything we’ve built together this year. Our students have grown so much, not only in what they’ve learned, but in how they’ve cared for one another, taken risks, and shown resilience.
Thank you for cheering them on, showing up, and walking this journey with us. The culture we’ve created—one of kindness, high expectations, and belonging—truly makes Eagle Crest a special place.
Wishing you and your family a joyful, restful summer. We can’t wait to see you again in August!
Warmly,
Amanda

DEAN OF STUDENTS’ UPDATE
Hello Eagle Crest Families,
Looking back on this school year, I am filled with immense joy and pride! Our Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram posts showcase many achievements and unforgettable moments we've experienced together. It has been a privilege to spend each day with your children, supporting their growth into future leaders. We are eagerly looking forward to the 2025-2026 school year and the new adventures it will bring! Have a wonderful Summer Break!
Here are some important logistical details for the summer:
It is not too late to enroll for Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year! Online registration can be completed here. Please save your child's spot at Eagle Crest now!
If your family is moving over the summer or will be making changes to any of your contact information, please let us know! Throughout the summer we will be preparing for the new school year and sending important updates via this newsletter. Please email any changes to our Registrar, Dinah Sherwood, at: sherwood_dinah@svvsd.org.
Eagle Crest will be hosting a Project Launch summer learning program in the month of June. The program will be Monday through Thursday, 8:30am-3:30pm. The front office will be staffed 8:00am - 4:00pm each of those days, as well. Eagle Crest will be closed throughout the month of July until Friday, August 1st.
Don’t forget that learning and creating can continue all summer long with your student iPads! We have created this resource to guide families to the educational opportunities available on their iPads. Additionally, all iPads will be refreshed in the fall. All students will return their iPads, charging blocks, and cords and will check out a new iPad. We will send more information out at the beginning of the school year.
Have a wonderful Summer Break!
All the best,
Lindsey Cheney

iPAD SETTING UPDATES FOR 2025–2026
As part of our district’s Learning Technology Program (LTP), we’re making a few key updates to student iPad settings to support safe, focused, and consistent digital learning. Starting next school year, all elementary student iPads will display a universal St. Vrain Valley Schools background to create a cohesive learning environment. Additionally, 4th and 5th grade students will be required to set a passcode to help protect their personal information—staff will assist with setup and password resets as needed.
We’re also implementing an improved web filter to ensure safer internet access both at school and home. In some cases, schools may apply additional restrictions to individual devices to better support learning. These changes are designed to protect student privacy and promote responsible technology use, while still encouraging creativity, exploration, and collaboration. If you have any questions about these upcoming changes, please contact Katy Schwirtz at schwirtz_katy@svvsd.org.
