This month we will be reading Racial Microaggressions and Difficult Dialogues on Race in the Classroom. No preparation needed -- we will provide pizza and the reading material.

Just email Katie kkline@ucmo.edu so we order enough pizza.

If you will be at the Write to Learn conference at the end of the month, please join us at the Scholastic Writing Awards Ceremony, Friday, February 28, 4:45 - 5:45. We could use your help as we honor the contest winners. And Nic Stone will be our guest speaker!

Every year, one of the most important things we do is identify teachers for the Summer Institute. By nominating committed, thoughtful teachers, you play a crucial role in growing the energy and reach of our project.

We also accept returning teachers, so email today if you'd like to take the Summer Institute for a second time.

Elizabeth Schurman leads this monthly meeting at Crows Coffee Waldo (74th & Washington). No RSVP needed.

Please plan to support our 4th year of KC Storytellers at the Community Exhibition at the Plaza Library theatre. These high school students are working to build a united community through the sharing of their personal stories, and I know you will be inspired by them.
