WELCOME BACK!!!
Dear Families,
WELCOME to the 2024-2025 school year! We are excited to see our returning students and meet our new students on September 3rd.
The start of a new school year can bring both excitement and nervousness to children. To help ease any jitters, we allow parents to walk children to their classrooms for the first week of school. After that, we have many adults in the hallways to assist students who need help getting to their rooms.
If you are dropping your child off in the morning, please follow the "Parent Drop Off" signs in our parking lot. They may exit your vehicle when you reach our covered walkway that is located between Heim Elementary and Heim Middle School.
Our doors open to students at 8:00 a.m. and our dismissal begins at 2:10 p.m. If you would like to avoid standing in the long sign-out line, please send a note to your child's teacher that you would like him/her dismissed as a walker every day. Your child will come out the front doors where you can meet him/her and you will not need to sign out at the gym doors.
Our Family Handbook will answer most questions you may have. It is located on our website (https://heimelementary.williamsvillek12.org/) using the following link: https://resources.finalsite.net/images/v1724085473/williamsvillek12org/odzdfq6ltk4naodsfzan/HeimFamilyHandbook2024.pdf .
Principals' Corner
Dr. Bonnie Stafford, Principal
Mrs. Lindsey Johnson, Assistant Principal
As we embark on the 2024-2025 school year, the Heim faculty and staff will continue to work collaboratively to maintain the level of excellence that makes our school so special.
Because the safety and well-being of our students is of the utmost importance at Heim Elementary, we will continue to have several safety procedures in place this year:
- The doors open at 8:00 a.m. Students will not be permitted to enter the building prior to that time, as there is no supervision available for them. All students must be in the building by 8:20 a.m.
- All doors at the school are locked during the school day and visitors will be “buzzed in” upon their arrival. You must present a valid government-issued identification to obtain a visitor badge. This badge MUST be worn at all times while you are in the building. Visitors may not go to classrooms unannounced because this interrupts the instructional program. Someone from the Main Office will be more than happy to call the classroom if you need to stop down there for any reason.
We look forward to working with all of you this year to continue to make our school the best it can be!
Sincerely,
Dr. Bonnie Stafford, Principal
Mrs. Lindsey Johnson, Assistant Principal
