8th Grade Boston Trip Update
As of today we have approximately 50 of the 174 8th graders register for the overnight Boston experience scheduled for June 2025. Unfortunately, there are not enough students registered to justify this as a class trip. Registration is still open. If we do not have 130 or more total registrations by December 1, we will need to cancel this trip. Please consider registering your 8th grader today so that our 8th graders can enjoy this memorable experience as a class before they leave NRMS for high school.
* On Wednesday 10/23 we had a virtual meeting about the grade 8 Boston Overnight Class Trip. If you missed the meeting you can watch a recording of the meeting for important information.

Thank You For Your Support!
Dear NRMS Community, On behalf of the NRMS Junior Honor Society members, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude! What an amazing community of parents, friends and students we have. Last evening’s dinner event at the Lost Dog Pub earned $3500.00 to help fund our honor students’ Chicago Conference trip. As educators, we guide and encourage our students to develop strong problem solving and decision making skills. Those qualities were on full display by every NJHS member who attended last evening. Students jumped in and helped wherever needed and navigated minor hiccups and glitches with minimal adult assistance and lots of smiles! We thank the Lost Dog Pub owners, Jane and Andy Murphy for donating 100% of last evening’s proceeds to our cause. Their kind and attentive staff served a delicious meal and ensured that each of our guests felt welcomed and had a great time. Everyone in attendance was impressed with the assortment of quality items in our raffle. Our deepest appreciation goes out to all who donated prizes and sold and purchased tickets. We sold so many tickets that we kept having to find bigger bowls to hold them all! When we ran out of printed tickets, our NJHS students didn’t miss a beat--they grabbed pen and paper and swiftly made more for us to sell. We invite everyone to visit our bake sale on Friday, November 29th and Saturday, November 30th to be held in conjunction with the Truro Vineyards Holiday Market, from 11-5 each day. With warm appreciation,

Updates From The Principal
Hello NRMS Families,
The report cards for the first quarter are available for you to view/download in Aspen, our student information system. The instructions for accessing report cards was shared earlier this week and is also below. A reminder that the report card is just a formal report of progress to date in a course. More informative information about student progress is available through Aspen throughout each quarter. The second quarter is now underway. If at any time you have questions about student progress, please reach out to teachers and/or school counselors who will provide the information you need and partner with you to keep students on track.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. We have a short week next week with school in session for Monday and Tuesday before the holiday break. When we return to school it will be December. There will not be a newsletter next week. Enjoy family, friends, food, and football.
Peter Cohen, Ed.D.
Principal
