Introducing Elder Saa'kokoto
A teacher, historian, storyteller, and visual artist - Saa’kokoto is providing HHTS students with a deep understanding and appreciation of Indigenous culture. His lessons carry a wealth of first hand experience, drawn both from his years as a business leader in his community and as an ambassador of his culture. He serves as a historical and cultural interpreter and guide at Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park. Saa'kokoto is a traditional Knowledge Keeper and Elder who shares traditional stories, songs, poetry, visual arts lessons, and teachings with students. Our work with Saa'kokoto will focus on developing a deep understanding of the Circle of Courage.
We look forward to our first visit with Elder Saa'kokoto on November 4th.
Our Academic Year
We believe that a collaborative effort between school and home is essential for the success of our students, and we encourage your active participation in your child's education. Should you have any questions about your child's progress, the classroom teacher is your first point of contact. We are all here to support learning.
At the end of every month, families will receive a message from FSD encouraging them to track their child’s learning progress through our digital platform, Edsembli, for new assignment updates.
You can access Edsembli using this link: https://sis.edsembli.com/WebAdmin/AB/FSD/UI/Account/SignIn

We need your support! As drivers, please obey the bus loading zone signs. As with all traffic signs, the reasons for their use is safety. No personal vehicles are permitted in the bus loop. This poses a danger to students as they exit or board the buses. Student and pedestrian traffic must NOT go through and around all the buses. The students are NOT to run through bus traffic at any time.

Student Matters Team
On Friday (Oct.4) morning a group of grade 7 & 8 Huskies gathered at the Foothills Composite Highschool along side students from other FSD schools. They came together to learn more about one of the key areas of the Education Plan – Comprehensive School Health. After furthering their understanding of this framework, students had the opportunity to discuss with students from other schools how it applies to their own school community. From there, our students started the work to create a plan to support this framework within our school. Stay tuned for the amazing ideas they plan to implement at Heritage Heights!
Special Shout Out To...
We wanted to take a moment to express our sincere appreciation to our amazing Office Administrator and Secretary. Mrs. Haukenfrers and Ms. Nieman's dedication, hard work and kindness do not go unnoticed! Mrs. Haukenfrers has put in many long hours behind the scenes ensuring that our CTF classes and school operations were up and running smoothly! While welcoming everyone with a smile, Ms. Nieman makes sure our communication, beautiful website and attendance is up to date. We are incredibly lucky to have you both at Heritage Heights!
