On Saturday, 47 students performed at State Solo and Ensemble. Of the 23 events, 19 of them received a 1st division "Superior" rating! 3 students tied for a high score of 96! Congratulations to all of the students that performed. The next Solo and Ensemble opportunity through MSBOA will take place next school year.

On Sunday, the Varsity Winter Guard competed at Stoney Creek and took home 3rd place! They will conclude their season at the MCGC State Championships on March 29th. Congratulations Guard!

If you're interested in joining the Marching Band Color Guard Section, come try it out on April 26th with our director, Monica! No stress, no commitment, just try it out!

The Dakota Marching Band is proud to announce their 2025 production "Starry Night"

This show is inspired by "The Most Astounding Fact" by Neil Degrasse Tyson as well as Van Gogh's "Starry Night" painting. The premise of the show is what it's like as a human to look up at a starry night and how it feels to be part of such a magnificent universe. Music selections are original music by Jeff Chambers, Clair de Lune (Debussy) and Moonlight Sonata (Beethoven).

Registration is OPEN and closes on April 1st! Current 7-11 grade students can join this group!
