Senior College and Career Day
UPHS is excited to inform you that October 30th is designated as College and Career Day for our senior students. This day is set aside to help you explore your future options, whether you're planning to attend college, pursue a career, or explore other opportunities after graduation.
On this day, underclassmen will be participating in PreACT testing, and we want to ensure that you have a productive and meaningful experience during this time. You are encouraged to take full advantage of the resources available to you. This day, October 30th, will be an EXCUSED absence that will have no impact on your attendance record upon completion of one of the options given below.
-College Visits: If you have been planning to tour any colleges or universities, this is a great day to do so.
-Job Shadowing or Internships: Consider reaching out to local businesses or professionals in a career field that interests you to arrange a shadowing or internship opportunity.
-Volunteer/Day of Service: You also have the opportunity to give back to the community for a day of service at local organizations.
-Recruiting Station: If you’re considering a future in the military, this is a great time to visit a local military recruiting office.
Be sure to follow the guidelines below:
-Athletic showcases shall NOT count towards college day visits unless a tour is completed by an admissions representative of the college.
-Prior to taking the college day, students MUST have all teachers sign the bottom portion of this form.
-During the visit, have an admissions representative SIGN AND DATE this form. The name must be legible. In addition, please attach a business card or brochure.
-After college day, this form must have a Principal/Assistant Principal signature of approval.
The form has gone home with all seniors to complete. However, if you would like to print from home, then please click the link below:
