National Library Week
SMS celebrated national library week with lego-based activities in the media center during students' science classes last week. Mrs. Slaton and Mrs. Noble coordinated eight stations for students to work through during their visit.
Mrs. Boley and Ms. Humphrey had their students write thank you notes to the media center ladies for their time and effort preparing for this fun activity.

End of Grading Period
The fifth six weeks ended on Friday, Friday, April 12th.
Report cards will be published in Harmony Family Access on Wednesday, April 17th.
The grades on that report card determine students' eligibility for extracurricular activities.
The grades from our fifth six weeks will be averaged with course grades from the sixth six weeks to calculate trimester grades.
The grade point average of the trimester grades is what we use to determine medal awards at the end of each school year. Medals are awarded by GPA, not by all As or by all As and Bs.
ILEARN Assessments
Indiana's ILEARN assessment window is Monday, April 15th through Friday, May 10th.
SMS plans to have students complete the assessments on April 16-18, April 22-25, and April 30-May 2.
Please try to avoid student absences/appointments on these ten days.
