This week we will celebrate Read Across America Week! (We held off a week since 2nd graders were iRead testing.) See below for a list of dress-up days! Read Across America Week is a nationwide event celebrated annually to promote the joy of reading and encourage literacy among children and adults alike. It typically takes place during the first week of March, coinciding with the birthday of beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss on March 2nd.
3rd graders who have not previously passed the iRead test will be testing this week. Monday and Wednesday will be testing days. Get good rest the night before testing and come to school with a charged iPad.
