Northview HS Newsletter
January 13 , 2025 Volume 2, Number 16
Northview Familia,
After the recent fires that have affected our local community, I want to extend my deepest gratitude and admiration for your resilience and strength during such a challenging time. Whether you were directly impacted or supported others in need, your courage and compassion embody the spirit of our school and community.
We are fortunate that our campus sustained minimal damage and were able to remain open all week to support our students and families. We will continue to monitor weather notifications and air quality reports to ensure that our students are safe.
Our Northview community continues to shine with remarkable achievements and active participation in a wide variety of activities. Congratulations to our girls' wrestling team for their outstanding performance as champions at both the Upland Blackwatch Tournament and the Bonita Top Gun Tournament!
We’re also excited about the upcoming matchups for our talented student-athletes. This week, our boys' and girls' soccer teams, as well as our boys' and girls' basketball teams, will face off against Covina High School. Let’s show our Viking pride by coming out to support them!
Have an amazing week, Vikings! Together, we thrive!

Staff Spotlight
Allow us to introduce our helpful health clerk, Mrs. Melissa Armas. Mrs. Armas keeps our students medical needs in check and closely monitors their health orders. Whether you have a scratch, a headache, or a bigger medical need, she is the person to turn to.
Mrs. Armas has been with the district for 7 years. Prior to working here she was a Medical Assistant at Magan Urgent Care for years. She is passionate about both medicinal and holistic approaches, as she finds essential oils to be beneficial.
When Mrs. Armas is not working she is very busy on the ice. Her three boys are active and avid ice hockey players. They are on travel teams and play competitively. If she is not watching one of their games, she will take in a Ducks game. That is her favorite team!
We thank you, Mrs. Armas for keeping our students healthy, safe, and well cared for.
