Rays Update
September 20, 2024
Message from the Principal
Rays,
We have had a wonderful week built around the community. I loved seeing all our students who participated or were watching the Homecoming Parade this past Wednesday.
This week we celebrated our campus technologist Travis Bowers. He serves our staff and students by ensuring our technology is not only up to date but running effectively. We truly appreciate all the work he does for our Rays.
I just wanted to remind our families of a few safety concerns we are noticing. First, please use the crosswalks when crossing our parking lot. It is hard for cars to see your children when you walk in front of them. It is also very stressful for our teachers to see you walk in front of cars and not at the crosswalk. Second, please have your students load and unload the car on the passenger side of the vehicle. We have staff there to help them in and out of the cars so you do not need to exit your vehicle for any reason. If you do need to exit your vehicle, please find a designated parking spot and park your car. Finally, please note that the front of the school is not a drop off zone unless it is after 7:30 am. You need to drop off on either the K/1 or 2/5 sides of the building.
We will have our first site-based meeting on September 24th from 9 am until 10 am. It will be a coffee with the principal format. You may register to attend below.
We hope you have a wonderful three day weekend,
Alison Pennington

Counselor Message
My name is Carol Bowers and I am the school counselor at Reagan Elementary. I spend most of my time with students in classroom guidance lessons covering a variety of social skills. Our goal at Reagan is that students receive guidance lessons with the school counselor about once a month. Please check out Counseling Corner for more information and resources. If you have questions, please feel free to reach out to me at Carolina.Bowers@leanderisd.org or call 512-570-7200.
If your family has a pet and would like their pet's picture displayed in my office please send a photo to my email, send your child with a picture of your pet(s) and/or ask your child to draw a picture of your pet and we’ll proudly display them in the counselor’s office.
