In February, 2017, George Elliott Clarke wrote the poem, "Rollcall" for Black History Month. In 2018, Madame Rea's Grade 2 class created a mural of "Rollcall". On February 4th, the poet laureate and Officer of the Order of Canada recipient will visit our school to see the mural in person. He will be joined by members of his quintet, Afro-Métis Nation. Shelley Hamilton, Sugar Plum Croxen, Russ Kelley and Chris White are talented musicians who are also named in "Rollcall". We hope you can join us for the celebration and musical performance!
