The Principal's Desk
Hello!
We’ve wrapped up another fantastic week at KHS! In the coming days, our teachers will be sending out information to help you schedule parent-teacher conferences. If you’d like to meet with a teacher, please feel free to reach out directly to schedule a time. Just a quick reminder, conferences will be held during the week of October 21-24.
As we move into the second half of the fall sports and activities seasons, I'd like to emphasize the importance of getting involved in extracurricular teams, clubs, and activities. Participation in extracurricular activities helps students build essential life skills like teamwork, leadership, time management, and problem-solving. It also provides an opportunity for them to explore new interests and talents, boosting their confidence and sense of belonging. Being part of a team or club creates a sense of community, allowing students to form strong connections with their peers and mentors. These experiences can have a lasting impact, influencing future career paths, college/career applications, and personal growth.
I encourage all students to take advantage of the many opportunities available, as these sports and activities truly enhance their high school experience.
Have a good weekend!

National Honors Society
National Honors Society will start gearing up for their annual Trunk or Treat event hosted in the high school parking lot at the start of trick or treating hours for the city of Knoxville on Halloween. This is a huge event that the students are really proud of each year. With that, it is essential that we collect enough goodies and treats for distribution. Leaders of the Trunk or Treat committee will start to assign roles to NHS members to help with this effort; however, if you feel inclined to help donate Halloween trinkets or prepackaged/store-bought treats, then our organization would be MOST appreciative.
For more information about National Honors Society contact Mrs. Sprecher: jsprecher@bluebullets.org
FCCLA
FCCLA attended Ignite! Conference Sunday, September 29 and Monday, September 30. They listened to speakers, worked on their leadership skills, and spent time planning programs and activities for the year.
