What's New in Fourth Grade?
Report Cards and Parent-Teacher Conferences
Content Area Learning:
Math - The students have begun working on multiplication and division. It is very important that they practice at home until they know basic facts with immediate recall. They will use these facts as they solve word problems, complete patterns, and work within equations. Students need to work hard on weekly spiral review homework sheets in order to continually practice past content taught.
Virginia Studies - As we push on through our historical journey, students now understand the many ways things changed as the Virginia colony began to prosper and grow. The remainder of this month will be spent reviewing the first four units for our cumulative review test on November 26th. Please make sure kids are reviewing both old facts and new information all through the year!
Science - Our students are becoming experts on weather as they investigate and understand how weather conditions can be predicted and ways that weather phenomena affect ecosystems.
Important Dates: Please mark your calendars!
