Student Org Shout-Out
February 4, 2019
Want to get better at public speaking?
Temple Toastmasters is an organization that helps students improve their public speaking skills by allowing them to exercise these skills in a very friendly and comfortable environment. Anyone who attends will not be required to speak (though it’s encouraged!) and they will get to see what public speaking can be like when the stress is removed. Practice with toastmasters will help you nail in class presentations and take your interviewing skills to the next level.
Our meetings are Mondays at 3 PM. Anyone interested is welcome to attend! For more information about future meeting locations, contact Dom Ochal at Domochal@temple.edu or 610-554-1220.
Enjoy running?
We are recruiting new members for this Spring, so come out for a run! We meet outside of the IBC: Mondays (4:30pm) Tuesdays (4:30 pm) Wednesdays (5:15 am) Thursdays (4:30 pm) Friday (Variable). On Fridays, we hold optional social events like scenic runs, games, or team dinners. Join us on Owl Connect to get involved. Reach out to templerunclub@temple.edu with any questions.

If one HOOT talk isn't enough, then this month you're in luck: you get two! Come out to our healthy relationships talk Thursday, February 21st, at 6 pm in Anderson 821 (the Women's Studies Lounge). We will have a panel event that features speakers from A Women's Place and Philadelphia Fight. Come out and bring your friends! Questions? Contact Bisi Oyeloa at tuf85422@temple.edu.
