Summer Credit Recovery 2024

Summer Credit Recovery provides an opportunity to earn credit for required courses in which students were unsuccessful during the academic school year. Our program is open to Barnstable High School students who meet eligibility requirements and local districts.

Please note that there is a mandatory in-person component to Summer Credit Recovery. Students who are unable to commit to at least 4-6 sessions in the library will find this program may not be a good fit for them.

In order to qualify for Summer Credit Recovery, the student must have at minimum a 50% final grade in the course they are seeking to make-up. If the student does not have at least a 50% in the course, they must have the approval of the Department chairperson of that course in order to participate in Summer Credit Recovery.

Registration is taking place in the library of BHS on June 20th and June 21st, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Registration is mandatory and is a prerequisite for enrolling in the program.

Tuition rates are per course.

Barnstable High School Student Cost: $100.00*

Out of District Student Cost: $250.00

Payment will be submitted before or during registration. We accept cash and Myschoolbucks payments. No personal checks, please.

There will be no refunds for courses that are not completed.

Summer Lab is where students can come to get help with their summer courses and to take their in-person, proctored assessments.

Summer Lab takes place in the air conditioned library at Barnstable High School. Our program's teachers are available from for tutoring, pop-up lessons, and questions. Each subject has a teacher able to help the students with their courses. Please check the below schedule for Summer Lab dates.

There are also snacks on offer, a place to take brain-breaks when needed, and a quiet place to take our required in-person assessments.
