1st Grade - Reader's Theater
This past month, our first graders explored the magical world of fairy tales! As part of their CKLA knowledge unit, students learned about the key elements that make up a fairy taleāsuch as characters, a clear setting, a problem and solution, and a touch of magic. After reading and analyzing classic fairy tales together, each student had the exciting opportunity to write their very own original fairy tale, applying everything they learned. To celebrate their hard work, students were able to share their stories with family and friends, as well as bring to life the stories of Jack and the Beanstalk and the Gingerbread Man with reader's theatre. It was a wonderful experience that encouraged creativity, collaboration, and confidence in storytelling!
End of Year Events
Python Community Service Team
This year, the Python Community Service Team spent time creating items to sell at our annual holiday craft fair. They worked with origami, sewing and greenery to create ornaments, card holders and holiday decor. The proceeds they collect were donated to local organizations including the Halo Foundation and two local Food Pantries. The work of these young future leaders has been a great asset to our local community!
